Ok, so onto the reason for this entry. Whilst seeking treatment at
UCSF, I have met some beautiful people. I am doing my best to take the
time to thank these individuals.... whether it be with a homemade thank
you card, small piece of art or in this case, jewelry. I made the below jewelry for two fabulous girls that coordinate the clinical
trials for the melanoma department. I can call them girls when they are younger than me, right? Anyhow, their upbeat personalities and
smiles alone, make my appointments enjoyable. Isn't it
amazing how someone else's attitude and/or energy can help or hinder your journey.
This goes without saying.... I recognize this.
I've always said, "it's the small things" and since my diagnosis I truly understand what that means. The small things mean EVERYTHING.
Love, Lucy.

Hi sweetie.....creating has to be one of the best medicines in the world. I quilted all through my mom's cancer. She loved watching me sew. I think she got more pleasure out of it then I did. I don't quilt anymore, its just not the same without my mom cheering me on. But I still create! I just made a drawstring bag for Dominick's puzzles today. It was a first, I winged my way through most of it. I have it on my blog if you want to see it. I also made some fabric flowers that you might like posted to.
I love your little surpies that you made for the girls. Surpies is what my aunt calls little surprise gifts.
Love ya bunches, Karen

I love what you are doing with the pressed metal... these girls probably had no idea the love that they were passing on that would eventually come back to them by way of these personalized adornments. Keep passing on the love like wildfire! Cancer hates that sort of positivity!
